SafeComp 2021 is currently being planned as a hybrid conference. We hope to welcome as many delegates as possible to the University of York but recognise that travel may still be restricted.
Accordingly, all authors will have the opportunity to choose to present remotely and delegates will be able to attend virtually if preferred.

The conference will take place on Campus East at the University of York. The campus is a short bus ride from the city centre (shuttle buses will be provided and frequent public buses run).
Accommodation will be available to book on campus, or hotel options are available in the city centre.
The historic city of York is in the centre of England, allowing easy access from the UK and beyond. It is a beautifully preserved medieval city, and a place of extraordinary cultural and historical wealth to explore while you attend the conference.

The city is home to York Minster, a large Gothic cathedral, as well as well-preserved medieval walls, which offer a chance to walk the city perimeter.
The city also houses many museums of international interest, including the National Railway Museum, the Castle Museum, and the Jorvik Viking Centre.
The video below highlights some of the reasons for visiting York and the beautiful surrounding county of North Yorkshire.
